Horse struck and killed on A.C. Expressway, second horse unharmed

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) -- A car struck and killed a horse on the Atlantic City Expressway.

The accident happened just after 3 a.m. Monday in Winslow Township.

State troopers managed to corral a second horse and located the animals' owner. It wasn't clear how the horses go on the expressway.

The motorist sustained minor injuries.
