Nichole Carver shared a photo of herself pregnant with now almost 1-year-old Hudson during last year's solar eclipse. She was shocked to see how the photo took off, but she told FOX 5 she knew Hudson was special.
"I know with every ounce of me and I just love to see how many people he's touching," said Carver.
Carver has been sharing moments of Hudson's life on her Facebook page, Hugs for Hudson, where thousands go to find updates on the nearly 11-month-old boy. Hudson had been diagnosed with Gaucher's disease, a genetic disorder when he was four months old.
Gaucher disease can be fatal for children before their second birthday, but the Carvers have never given up their hope and faith that he'll have a chance to grow up big and strong.
On Monday, the Carvers shared good news with their followers.
"Just received a call from Hudson's specialist in VA and was informed that his cells are responding to the medications/treatments!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!" Nichole wrote.

Nichole also shared a thank you to everyone who has helped their family or put them in their prayers.
"It's helped so much and God hears our prayers," she said. "Don't stop!!! We can't let up, we won't let up!!!"

Carver is grateful to the people who have reached out to her little boy, but she's also amazed at how sharing his story has helped others.
"No matter what he goes through, he always smiles. He always smiles and I told him the other day, I said, 'Hudson, you're stronger than mommy is.' and he is," Carver shared.
