Fire officials say seven people were injured during the fire, including 3 adults, one infant, one firefighter and two police officers.

"Two people jumped from windows on the second floor to escape the fire, and police officers rescued two additional people from inside - one adult and one infant."

They were all treated at the scene, then taken to a local hospital for treatment.

FOX 29’s Gregory Payne spoke to neighbor Risa Shirane who witnessed the incident and sprung into action to help.

"I saw police officers running to help the lady who was trying to drop the baby from the second floor," said Shirane. "So I had to go get outside to help the police officer to help get the baby from him so he was able to help to rescue the mom of the baby from the second floor because she wanted to jump from the second floor"

Shirane remembers having the infant in her arms as the rest of the child's family was trying to escape.

"Very painful, very, very painful seeing the daughter, the girl was crying, she got a scar on her belly. I couldn’t see, I just grabbed her, kept her warm and safe, I took her in my house to be warm, that was all I could do," she said.

Officials have yet to release a cause for the fire.
