(WTXF) - A video featuring a little kitten taking his first independent steps with his new wheelchair is going viral.
Little Cassidy was born to a feral mom and almost didn't make it past his first two months of life before he was rescued.
The TinyKittens Society, an animal rescue in Langley, British Columbia took the little guy in.
Shelly Roche, owner of TinyKittens spoke to the Huffington Post saying that Cassidy's legs were mostly likely chewed off by his mother when she attempted to detach his umbilical cord at birth.
"By the time he was rescued, he had nearly starved to death and his depleted body had stopped fighting a horrific E. Coli infection in both stumps," TinyKittens wrote on its Facebook page.
But Cassidy was a trooper and began to regain his strength. They soon dubbed him Miracle Kitten.
However, it still was hard for Cassidy to get around even when he regained his health, so Handicapped Pets Canada, a company that assists animals with disabilities, made him a tiny wheelchair to help Cassidy walk on his own.
Last week, he made his first independent steps.
