NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Bruce Magistro of Lindenhurst, Long Island, hit the winning numbers of a $1 million scratch-off lottery ticket recently, and only four years after winning his first million bucks.
Magistro, 48, who was recently engaged to be married, will be guaranteed the $1 million prize for the Win $1,000 A Week for Life instant game.
The carpenter told the media gathered for the announcement Wednesday in West Babylon that he remembers thinking "this is impossible."
"I started scratching the ticket and I saw one Life symbol and then the second and I thought, 'This is impossible.' I saw the third life and even I couldn't believe it," said Magistro.
On hand was NY Lottery representative Yolanda Vega, who presented the ceremonial check to Magistro in 2012, too.
"At my last event, Yolanda Vega told me there was always a chance I could win again. I took her words to heart," said Magistro.
The widower plans to share his winnings with his family and "enjoy life" as a newly engaged man.
Magistro's wife died two years ago Wednesday from cancer.
