Stores looted at King of Prussia Mall
The looting prompted a State of Emergency declaration in Upper Merion Township
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. - Looters targeted the King of Prussia Mall as riots spread behind Philadephia and into Montgomery County.
Multiple police squads responded to the reports of looting and violence as people broke glass and stormed the stores and boutiques.

At least 20 police cruisers arrived from surrounding neighbors to keep the situation contained.
As a result of the looting at the mall, officials in Upper Merion Township has declared a State of Emergency and imposed a mandatory curfew from Sunday at 8 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.
Montgomery County officials released the following statement reading in part,
"Upper Merion Township is a community comprised of individuals from many different backgrounds, religions, and cultures. We are extremely proud of this diversity, and we as individuals and the township actively work to cultivate and support our differences. A diverse Upper Merion is one that is inclusive of all persons, races, ethnicities, religions, and beliefs. Diversity is what makes this place home. It’s how we grow and learn and relate to each other; how we raise our children and interact with our neighbors. It is acceptance of our differences that makes our community welcoming, vibrant, and strong."
