Man, 69, dies after hunting accident in Berks County

A Berks County, Pennsylvania man has died after a hunting accident Tuesday, according to state police.

Thomas Kane, 69, was found in the woods around 7 p.m. by family members next to a tree where he had set up his tree stand.

Kane’s stand remained in the tree, about 30 feet above the ground.

Officials pronounced Kane dead at the scene, and the cause of death was ruled blunt force trauma.
