SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - A man has died after police say he was shot more than a dozen times at a Southwest Philadelphia gas station early Friday morning.
The shooting occurred on the 5700 block of Baltimore Avenue at the Lukoil Gas Station around midnight.
The 18-year-old victim was shot as many as 12 times and was struck in the face, head, and chest. He was pronounced dead shortly after the shooting at a nearby hospital.
14 spent shell casings were found just feet away from where the victim was laying when he was found, according to police. A firearm was also recovered.
Police say other customers were at the gas station at the time of the incident, but no further injuries have been reported.
The investigation is ongoing and police are working to retrieve nearby surveillance footage.
