Shots fired near SEPTA station in Center City
Police are investigating a shooting that erupted at the SEPTA 15th Street Station late Sunday night.
PHILADELPHIA - An arrest warrant has been issued for a teenage girl who authorities say opened fire on a group of people that were following her out of a SEPTA station.
Investigators say the 16-year-old was seen on video firing at the group from atop the steps exiting 15th Street Station the night of Nov. 19. No one was hit by gunfire.
The teen then fled the station and discarded a backpack and a handgun in the trash in the station's concourse, according to authorities.
Investigators later found the backpack and a loaded handgun that they say matched the rounds found at the scene of the shooting.

Surveillance footage captured the moment a man became the victim of yet another act of violence at a SEPTA station in Philadelphia.
Police later arrested the teen wearing clothing that matched the suspect captured on video opening fire down the station steps and fleeing the scene.
Law enforcement initially reported that the shooting suspect was a man, and later identified the alleged shooter as a 16-year-old girl.
The teen was first being held on a family court bench warrant for violating supervision conditions in an unrelated theft case, according to the District Attorney's Office.
They say the teen will be arrested "by the end of the week" for the Nov. 19 shooting at 15th Street Station.
