RUSCOMBMANOR, TWP., Pa. (FOX 29) - Police are investigating after they say a man impersonated a police officer in Ruscombmanor Township.
It happened Tuesday night around 6 p.m. Tuesday. Police say a woman driving along Pricetown Road in Ruscombmanor Township, Berks County, was stopped by a car with flashing red and blue lights.
According to state police, a man walked up to her car shined a flashlight in her face and told her she has a broken tail-light and to step out of the car.
When she refuses, he threatened to arrest her. Turns out, he wasn't a police officer at all. State police say the woman felt something just wasn't right and was able to drive off. Fortunately, the man did not follow her.
According to police, the woman was not able to get a description of the car since it pulled up behind her and she didn't get a good look at the man because he was shining a flashlight in her eyes.
