Man killed after double shooting in Mantua: police

A man is dead after police say a double shooting occurred in Philadelphia’s Mantua section Saturday night. 

The shooting happened at around 6:14 p.m. on the 600 block of N. 32nd Street.

According to police, a man in his 20s was shot multiple times in the head. Upon arrival, medics pronounced him dead at the scene. 

A 39-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right thigh. He was taken to HUP Cedar via private vehicle then transferred to Presbyterian Hospital by police where he has been placed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
