New Years shooting leaves man dead on Philly street; homicide investigation underway
PHILADELPHIA - A deadly start to the New Year in Philadelphia after a shooting claimed the life of yet another homicide victim.
Police say a man in his 30s was found shot between two cars on the 6000 block of Chester Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia around 12:04 a.m. on New Year's Day.

He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
The man's age and identity have yet to be released.
No word on suspects, or possible motive at this time.
