COBB COUNTY, Ga. - The Cobb County District Attorney's Office announced Thursday morning a man has been sentenced to life in prison for an attack that included tasing babies.
On December 7, 2016, authorities said Antonio Maurice Gee broke into a Mableton home where his ex-girlfriend lived with their 1-year-old daughter and 5-month-old son, as well as the woman's grandmother.
The district attorney's office said Gee attacked the great-grandmother with his fists, breaking her jaw and hurting her to the point where she required facial reconstruction surgery. He also stabbed her in the face.
Then, while Gee's ex-girlfriend was holding their little girl, he tried to stab the child. The mother was cut while defending her child.
Authorities said Gee knocked out his ex's teeth and used a Taser on her in the face, then used the Taser on both of the babies.
Following a two-day trial, a Cobb County jury convicted Gee, 21, on all 16 counts in the indictment.
Cobb Superior Court Judge Reuben Green sentenced Gee on Wednesday to life plus 192 years in prison.
"But for the grace of God and the Cobb County Police, this would have been a murder -- vicious, vile and savage," Chief ADA John Melvin said. "I am thankful to the jury and to Judge Green for ensuring that this animal never sees the light of day as a free man again."
