SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Police are investigating after a 25-year-old man was shot while leaving work in South Philadelphia overnight.
The incident happened around 1:45 a.m. Sunday on Snyder Avenue and South Broad Street.
Officials say the victim left his job at Wendy's, crossed the street and got into his girlfriend's car when he was shot twice in the back.
The man's girlfriend took off with the victim still in the car and managed to flag down police at 11th and Lombard streets.
The victim was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
