Man struck with ax in South Philly: police
PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating after they say a man was struck with an ax in South Philly Saturday.
Police say an aggravated assault occurred at around 2:34 a.m. Saturday on the 900 block of Snyder Avenue.
They say a 31-year-old man was struck with an ax one time in his chest.

He was taken to Jefferson Hospital by medics and is listed in stable condition.
The weapon was recovered at the scene. No arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
