New video emerges of SUV involved fatal hit-and-run

New surveillance video has been released in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred Saturday.

A pedestrian was killed early Saturday morning, while trying to cross the street in North Philadelphia.

The scene unfolded on North Broad Street, at Poplar Street Saturday morning, around 6 a.m., officials said.

A 55-year-old man, identified as Brian Howard Lloyd, was hit by a black SUV, possibly a Porsche, while he was walking across the street, in the crosswalk. Authorities said the force of the blow caused Lloyd to land on a third vehicle that was behind the black SUV.

Man dies after hit-and-run in North Philadelphia

A 55-year-old man is dead after he was struck by an SUV while crossing Broad Street early Saturday morning.

Lloyd died at the scene.

Officials say several surveillance cameras are in the area near the deadly scene and an active investigation for the driver is underway. They are searching for the SUV, which has possible front-end damage.

This comes on the heels of a serious Port Richmond hit-and-run Friday night, in which a female driver hit a man pumping gas, leaving him with critical injuries.
