Man wanted for attempted armed robbery in South Philadelphia
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police and the FBI are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating the person responsible for the attempted armed robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank branch in South Philadelphia.
The incident occurred on the 2500 block of South 13 th Street at 11:40 a.m.
The suspect entered the bank and brandished a handgun at a bank employee.
He ordered all bank employees to put their hands up, and demanded money.
Afterwards, the man fled the bank empty-handed.
He is described as a black male in his early-to-mid-30s, approximately 5'9" tall, stocky build, wearing a bright blue hooded sweatshirt, light gray jeans, bright blue mask, and dark sunglasses.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
