Man, woman sought in robbery at Port Richmond Rite Aid

Philadelphia Police are looking for a man and woman they say were involved in a robbery at a Rite Aid store in Port Richmond late last week.

Surveillance video captured the incident last Thursday evening around 9 p.m. at the Rite Aid on the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue

Video of the incident shows a silver Jeep Commander pull up to the store, as a woman gets out of the SUV and goes into the store to ask an employee what time the store would close for the night.

The woman then leaves the store and gets back into the SUV. At that time, police say a man got out of the driver's seat of the SUV and walking into the store and up to the front counter to ask for a pack of cigarettes.

When the employee handed the man the cigarettes, the man pulled a knife and ordered the employee to "give me the money."

The employee complied, handing over an unknown amount of cash before the employee fled the store and was last seen traveling north on Aramingo Ave.

Police have described the female suspect as approximately 20-years-old, and have only described the male suspect as a white male.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspects is asked to contact Philadelphia Police.
