Two people are in the hospital after a four-alarm fire damaged four homes in a 55 and older community in Montgomery County.

Officials say flames broke out at a home on the 600 block of Manor Drive around 3 a.m. Friday morning.

When first responders arrived on the scene they found flames coming from one of the homes, and the fire eventually reached four alarms.

A man who lived in the home where the fire started was flown to the hospital in critical condition after he was rescued from the back deck of the house. The victim's wife was also treated for injuries and has been speaking with authorities as they investigate the cause of the fire.

The first officer on the scene was also treated for smoke inhalation.
