Memorial Day violence: 3 killed in 3 Philadelphia shootings in less than an hour

A tragic 60 minutes left three people dead as three separate shootings rang out across three different Philadelphia neighborhoods during a violent Memorial Day weekend.

Police found the first victim, a 34-year-old man later identified as Devan Mandell Harris of Yeadon, Pa., shot to death inside a car on the 4900 block of Rorer Street in Kensington around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

About 30 minutes later, a 23-year-old man who police later identified as Anthony Turner, died from gunshot wounds to his chest and neck.

At least 20 shell casings were recovered at the crime scene on the 2500 block of North Stanley Street in Strawberry Mansion.

The final deadly shooting erupted around 11:15 p.m. on the 2900 block of West Wishart Street in North Philadelphia.

A 55-year-old woman who police later identified as Tonya Shelton, was fatally shot not far from the entrance of her home.

Police say the shooter was on foot when they fired at least one time at close range.

No arrests have been made in any of these shootings, and no weapons were recovered.

Police are still investigating motives, and asking anyone with information to contact them.
