Montgomery County inmate accused in murder-for-hire plot of former girlfriend
Zunir Wilson-Walker, 22, and Jadan Uriah Jones, 20, were both charged with multiple crimes in the alleged murder-for-hire plot that prison officials caught wind of.
PHILADELPHIA - A Montgomery County inmate is accused of recruiting a man to help him use Instagram to find someone to kill the mother of his child, prosecutors said Thursday.
Zunir Wilson-Walker, 22, and Jadan Uriah Jones, 20, were both charged with multiple crimes in the alleged murder-for-hire plot that prison officials caught wind of.
Investigators believe in November Walker-Wilson offered $15,000, a Cartier watch, and a car as payment for carrying out the murder of his child's mother.
What we know:
Investigators suspected the murder-for-hire plot after reviewing a phone conversation that Wilson-Walker alleged used another inmates phone account to make.
Wilson-Walker asked Jones to make a fake Instagram account and create a story that offered $15,000, a Cartier watch, and a vehicle for "beating up and killing the mother of his child." It's alleged that Wilson-Walker instructed Jones to use the Instagram story function to avoid attracting attention from police and others.
Investigators said Walker-Wilson had lost his phone privileges for verbally abusing and threatening the mother of his child. He also had his prison-issued tablet revoked after investigators say he sent eight harassing and threatening messages to the same woman, which violated a Protection From Abuse Order.
Jones is accused of creating an Instagram account called "walkdownmontt" and posting a series of stories that investigators say included derogatory comments about the woman, as well as her location information. The posts offered $15K, jewelry, and a car to get Wilson-Walker's former girlfriend "took off the map."
What's next:
Both men were charged with criminal solicitation of first-degree murder, conspiracy to murder, and criminal use of communication facility.
Wilson-Walker was also charged with terroristic threats, stalking, simple assault, strangulation and other charges related to the victim.
Wilson-Walker is being held on over $500K bail, and Jones had his bail set at $99K.
