Mt. Holly woman charged in partner's shooting death
MOUNT HOLLY, NJ (WTXF) - A Mount Holly, New Jersey woman has been arrested and charged in the shooting death of her partner Sunday morning, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
Laura Bluestein, 28, is facing several charges including first-degree murder after investigators say she shot her partner inside their home on the 100 block of Mill Street yesterday.
Officers responded to the scene Sunday morning after a relative notified police that an assault may have taken place inside their home.
When police arrived on scene they found 29-year-old Felicia Dorman inside the home with a gunshot wound to the face. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and Bluestein was taken into custody without incident.
Bluestein later told investigators she and Dormans were married. Bluestein was charged with first-degree murder, possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and tampering with evidence.
The motive remains under investigation.
