MANASSAS, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - Officials in Virginia say they arrested a man who they say was walking around naked and bit his dog and an off-duty FBI agent.
Prince William County police say officers responded to the 15300 block of Nottingham Drive in Manassas to investigate a man who was walking naked through the neighborhood.
Officers say found the man, now identified of 31-year-old Corey Philliips, standing naked in the middle of Nottingham Dr.
The officer determined that Phillips was under the influence of an unknown substance and attempted to detain him. However, as he attempted to do so, Phillips reportedly ignored the officer's commands, and so the officer deployed pepper spray.
Investigators say the suspect came toward an off-duty FBI agent who had stopped to assist the officer, and a struggle ensued between them. Officials say the man wound up biting the FBI agent on the neck causing a minor injury.
Officers say upon further investigation, officers determined that the accused had been smoking marijuana earlier that morning inside of his home and had started behaving erratically.
Police say Phillips picked up his 5-year-old Labrador-boxer mix dog and began to squeeze it before biting the dog on the ears and chest causing minor injuries.
He then went outside and pushed over a neighbor, a 60-year-old woman, to the ground when she attempted to intervene before police arrived, but she was not injured.
Police say the suspect brought into custody then transported to a local hospital as a precaution, and then taken to the Adult Detention Center where he was held without bond.
Phillips has been charged with malicious wounding, animal cruelty, possession of marijuana, assault and battery, obstruction of justice, and being intoxicated in public.
Officials say he is due to appear in court in March.
