New Jersey beachfront county named top vacation home market in U.S.

Cape May County, New Jersey topped a recent list of top vacation home markets in the country. It beat out three Florida beachfront communities and a Cape Cod town.

PHILADELPHIA - One of New Jersey's famous beachfronts is also one of the nation's most expensive.

Cape May County topped a recent list of the nation's best counties for luxury vacation homes.

Real estate company Pacaso found that the ratio of primary homes to second homes in Cape May County exceeded 150%.

Three Florida counties – Gulf, Walton and Collier – and Barnstable, Mass. on Cape Cod also made the top five.

The price of luxury homes in these places range between $900k and $1.4M.
