A minor aftershock rumbled parts of northern New Jersey nearly a week after a rare 4.8 magnitude quake was felt across the Garden State and nearby areas.

A minor aftershock rumbled parts of northern New Jersey nearly a week after a rare 4.8 magnitude quake was felt across the Garden State and nearby areas.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) says Wednesday's 2.6 magnitude aftershock happened near the Somerset County town of Gladstone. 

New Jersey Earthquake: 4.8 magnitude quake rattles from Philadelphia to NYC

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake centered in Hunterdon County, New Jersey on Friday morning shook homes from Philadelphia to New York City and beyond.

It's the 50th reported aftershock associated with last week's earthquake, according to researchers.

Caught on camera, people react to N.J. earthquake

Across the region, and in Philadelphia, a 4.8 earthquake in Hunterdon County, N.J., touched off a string of reactions, all caught on video.

Figures indicated that more than 42 million people might have felt Friday's quake.
