New Jersey man arrested in court for allegedly hiding 9 decks of heroin in pocket
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ (WTXF) - Police arrested a man last Tuesday in South Brunswick after they found him to be carrying nine decks of heroin on his person.
According to a press release, the incident occurred with 33-year-old Michael Pino was about to enter the South Brunswick Municipal Court.
He approached the court screening area where two officers were standing. They then instructed him to empty his pockets.
Pino emptied his pockets except for a bulge in his front jeans pocket, which the officers told him he had to empty or he couldn't go into court.
However, Pino refused to reveal what he was concealing, placing his hand over the pocket. He also resisted the two officers, leading additional officers to come into the court.
The officers soon found that Pino was hiding nine decks of heroin with a red "killer" label on it in his pants.
Pino was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction of justice, and resisting arrest.
He was lodged in the Middlesex County Correction Center on $20,000 bail.
