Vote counting underway in New Jersey primary election

Vote counting in underway in the Garden State after ballots were cast for a dozen house of representative seats.

Vote counting is underway in New Jersey where ballots were cast on Tuesday in a number of House seats.

Claire Gustafson won the Republican nomination in New Jersey's 1st Congressional District, which covers Camden and surrounding areas. 

She will be challenged by the democratic nomination, Donald Norcross. 

Andy Kim was the runaway favorite for the democratic nomination in the state's 3rd congressional district. That area covers large swaths of the central counties. 

Other notable primary winners include Jeff VanDrew in the 2nd district and GOP stalwart Chris Smith in the 4th district.
