Nutcracker nabbed from front porch of Orlando home

A Christmas Grinch has struck again, and this time, the deed was caught on camera.

Surveillance video taken from the Dale Family's Orlando home in Baldwin Park shows someone swiping a nutcracker statue from the front porch, then hopping into a car that speeds away.

The nutcracker is just Christmas decor, said Elizabeth Dale, it's a family heirloom.

"My mom and dad gave it to me a long time ago. The nutcracker has always just been a big family stone in our Christmas family tradition," said Dale.

She is hoping the crook comes down with a case of some Christmas spirit.

"I kind of peeked out the door this morning, [hoping] that maybe someone, their heart grew like the Grinch and maybe somebody brought it back."

The nutcracker has a companion which stands solo on the porch now. Dale said she wants to nutcracker nabber to know that her little prank could land her on the naughty list for police.

"The message I want to send is: in our neighborhood, we stick together and everyone has cameras, and you will get caught."
