Search expands for missing hiker, 2 dogs in Mt. Hood National Forest

PORTLAND, Ore. - Authorities in Oregon are intensifying their search for a missing woman and her two dogs in the Green Canyon Way Trail area south of Welches, part of the Mount Hood National Forest.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said 61-year-old Susan Lane-Fournier was reported missing after failing to show up to work last week.
Deputies said they went to her home but didn't find her.

The next day, a person reported seeing her white 1992 Ford F-250 parked along E. Salmon River Road near the Green Canyon Way Trail south of Welches. The discovery is what prompted the search for her in the woods.
Authorities said Lane-Fournier also goes by the name "Phoenix." She is described as 5'2", weighs 150 pounds, and has reddish-brown hair.
They're not sure if she planned to stay overnight in the wooded area as temperatures dropped in the 30s with light rain.

Authorities said on Monday 37 searchers were deployed in the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness. They said more than 100 miles of trail have been searched.
