Philadelphia embraces championship season
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - With so many teams making the playoffs, the Flyers thought, "Why not us?"
They hosted the New York Rangers April with a simple mindset - "Win and In."
While it may be too early to talk of a Flyers championship parade, parades for champions really don't get old. After all, celebrating Villanova and the Eagles was pretty special.
Philadelphia is also looking to the 76ers, especially after their win against the Cleveland Cavaliers April 6.
With both the Sixers and now Flyers moving on to playoff games, it is an exciting time to be in Philadelphia.
The Flyers won over the Rangers 5-0, scoring two of those goals in six seconds. They missed the playoffs last year and had a very rough go at one point this season with a ten game losing streak.
But, Philadelphia likes an underdog, right?
