Philadelphia weather: Overnight flurries to bring fresh coat of snow to Philadelphia area

Overnight flurries will drop a fresh coat of snow on top of what's leftover from Monday's winter storm.

Forecasters say the flurries will come from a larger storm that will bring measurable snow in the south.

Expect the snow to begin late Friday night and last into Saturday morning before tapering off by lunch.

Most places in our area, including the Philadelphia-area, won't see more than an inch of snow.

Forecasters expect the snow to begin late Friday night and last through Saturday morning before tapering off by lunchtime.

The southern tip of Delaware that saw double-digit snow earlier this week could see more than 2 inches.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Sussex County starting at 10 p.m.

Temps will stay brutally cold for most of the weekend, until a slight warm-up on Sunday and Monday.

The Philadelphia-area will be stuck in the 30s next week, but forecasters say there is no threat of snow.
