PHILADELPHIA - Another day of travel nightmares as hundreds of travelers are bound to be stranded in Philadelphia, instead of heading home at the weekend.
On Sunday afternoon, 156 flights had been canceled and another 154 delayed out of Philadelphia International Airport.
American Airlines flights appeared to be the most affected, according to data from FlightAware.
Flights and delays had significantly decreased by Monday morning, but travelers were still feeling the effects, including some with lost luggage.
With light delays, cancelations and bags nowhere to be found, tropical storm Debby is making travel down south tricky. Meanwhile, seasonal storms are affecting flights all along the east coast.
"The lines are just outrageous," said Tim Jacques, of Massachusetts.
Jacques is trying to get to Key West. He’s among the many at Philly International in line for answers.
"Three-and-a-half-hour wait to get a hotel through the airline, and now we’re trying to hunt down our bags," said Jacques.
Tara Reed of Virginia Beach, Va. explains, "We were trying to go to our national conference with Window World in Orlando, Fl. The flights kept getting delayed and, then, now just canceled completely."
With a service dog in tow, Reed and her team are looking for pet-friendly fun in Philly until at least Tuesday.
FOX 29 spoke with people in Terminal C who were traveling on American Airlines.
American Airlines released a statement about the travel issues saying, in part, it is "monitoring the track of Tropical Storm Debby and has issued a travel alert allowing customers whose travel plans are affected to rebook without change fees."
