Police: 19-year-old shot six times in North Philly

Police are investigating following a shooting in North Philadelphia Monday evening.

Around 11:30 p.m., the 19-year-old victim was walking in the courtyard of the Ramon Rosen Projects on the 2300 block of West Glenwood Avenue when he heard gunshots. As the victim turned around to run away, he reportedly felt pain in his back.

The victim fled to the 2200 block of North 23rd Street and knocked on a stranger's door. The people inside let the victim in and called 911.

Police responded to the scene and transported the victim to Temple University Hospital.

Officials say the victim was shot six times - once in the right eyelid, twice in the forehead, and three in his shoulder. He is currently listed in stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a black man wearing dark clothing.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
