Police: Father of woman's children breaks into Lansdale apartment, fatally shoots her new boyfriend

Investigators say Wesley Wayne Smith was visiting his girlfriend, who lives in the apartment complex, when Christopher Moore, Jr., the father of her children, broke into her building through a bathroom window, entered the bedroom and began shooting.

Prosecutors in Montgomery County have charged a man who they say broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and fatally shot her boyfriend during a gun battle.

Christopher Moore Jr., 21, was charged Tuesday with several offenses, including first, second and third-degree murder, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele reported.

Investigators believe Moore climbed through the bathroom window of his ex-girlfriend's home on the 400 block of Walnut Street in Lansdale around 11 p.m. Once inside, investigators say Moore and 21-year-old Wesley Wayne Smith began firing at each other.
