Police capture suspects accused in shooting of Pottstown girl's home

Police say they have arrested two suspects after they allegedly shot at a teenage girl's home in Pottstown last month.

The shooting occurred on the 500 block of West Street in Pottstown back on March 24.

According to police, Makael Bevins and Ahnile Fountain, both 19, were located in the west end of Pottstown Borough near Quinter St. and Glasgow Street Tuesday. Both were taken into custody after a short foot chase.

The family of a 13-year-old girl who lives at the home says the shooting was sparked by bullying that was occurring at school and their daughter had previously been threatened.

Pottstown School District officials say they were aware of the bullying and had attempted to intervene.

No one was injured in the shooting.
