Police in Tioga are investigating after finding three people dead in a home that was torn inside out.

Police were called to the 1900 block of West Venango Street Saturday evening, about 7:30 on the report of a burglary. When they arrived, police discovered three people dead inside the residence.

Investigators say a woman was found on the second floor of the home, while two men were found in the basement. Police did not release the identities of any of the three people.

According to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross, Jr., the victims were all found wrapped in blankets. The scene is said to be suspicious.

Investigators say a woman came home to find the living room ransacked. She called police and waited until they arrived before going inside. That's when police found the victims.

There were no signs of a forced entry. Officials did say the home was torn apart inside.

The investigation is ongoing.
