Police ID ex-boyfriend wanted for BurlCo woman's stabbing death
MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (WTXF) - Authorities in Burlington County identified the ex-boyfriend on the loose they say stabbed Shanai Marshall repeatedly at her Mount Holly home, Monday night -- so severely she had to be flown to a hospital in Trenton.
They also confirmed Marshall, 37, died Tuesday afternoon.
Burlington County's prosecutor and Mount Holly's police chief announced, "Rashon A. Causey, with whom Marshall had a child, forced his way into Marshall's house and stabbed her multiple times."
Relatives of Marshall had told FOX 29 News the former lovers had problems before and neighbors said police had been called multiple times in the past.
Arrest warrants for Causey, 38 of Burlington City, were issued on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated assault, burglary, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Causey is considered a fugitive and anyone with information on where he may be is asked to call Burlington County Central Communications at 609-265-7113.
