Police: Man, 38, charged with stabbing father to death in Millville
MILLVILLE, N.J. (FOX 29) - A New Jersey man has been charged in the alleged stabbing death of his father, authorities announced Saturday.
Around 9:45 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a home on the 400 block of Carlton Avenue in Millville, where they discovered 66-year-old Gary Tedesco deaf from apparent stab wounds.
Police say the stabbing stemmed from an altercation with the victim's son, 38-year-old Michael Tedesco.
The victim's mother, Stella Tedesco, was reportedly knocked to the ground during the altercation and was present when officers arrived on the scene.
According to police, Michael Tedesco fled the scene in his father's car, which was later recovered near 6th and Pine streets in Millville.
Michael Tedesco was subsequently located and charged with murder, robbery and related offenses. He is currently lodged in Cumberland County Jail on a complaint warrant.
