Police: Man sought after stealing from two different Home Depot stores Saturday morning

Police are looking for a man who they say robbed two different Home Depot stores Saturday morning.

The first incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. at the Home Depot located at 3600 Miller Road in Wilmington.

In the second incident, the suspect was reportedly armed. It occurred just after 9:00 a.m. at the Home Depot located at 601 Naamans Road in Wilmington.

Police say the man removed landscaping power tools from the store display and left without paying. When confronted in the parking lot, the suspect threatened an employee and told him he had a knife.

Officials say the suspect took the stolen goods, and ran away on foot towards a nearby road.

The employee was not injured in the incident.

Police have described the suspect as a 40 to 45-year-old man, 5'8" or 5'9" with average build and a goatee.
