Police: Off-duty security guard shot in leg while walking to bus near Fashion District

Authorities say an off-duty security guard at Philadelphia's Fashion District was shot in the leg while walking to a bus stop on Tuesday. While the victim is expected to physically recover, police fear the shooting could have been worse due to the heavy foot traffic that is normally around the Fashion District on pleasant spring nights.

Officials released surveillance video of two suspects on Thursday, saying they are searching for a man and woman in connection to the shooting.

No additional details were released by authorities.

Anyone with information on the shooting or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Philadelphia Police at 215-686-8477 or submit an anonymous tip here.
