WEST PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Police say an officer shot a man after they were called for a possible stabbing and someone with a weapon.
It happened at a home on Hazel Avenue near South 49th Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
According to police, when officers arrived at the home a man came out with a knife and was walking towards them. Police say they warned him to drop it, but he didn't and an officer shot him in the chest.
He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
Police say a stabbing victim was not located.
Police are still investigating.
