MEDFORD, N.J. (FOX 29) - Police have arrested a Philadelphia man who allegedly entered a home armed with a handgun in Medford, N.J. on Thursday.
According to authorities, 24-year-old Shannon M. Soroka burglarized a home on Muirfield Court shortly after 3:30 p.m.
A 19-year-old babysitter and a 2-year-old child were home at the time of the incident.
Police say Soroka entered the home through the front door and demanded the babysitter show him where the homeowners keep their money.
Soroka allegedly searched around the home before he fled the scene.
Neither of the victims reported injuries.
Police received a tip from a citizen which lead to the location and arrest of Soroka at his home on the 2700 block of Ontario Street in Philadelphia.
Officials have charged Soroka with multiple charges including robbery, three counts of burglary, and aggravated assault.
He is currently being held at Burlington County Jail.
