SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are looking for a suspect accused of robbing and injuring a cab driver in South Philadelphia.
The incident occurred just after midnight Thursday on South Street.
The 51-year-old 215-GET A CAB driver picked up a male passenger and drove a few blocks to 4th and Catherine, where the suspect reached a knife through the partition and placed it on the drivers neck.
The driver attempted to struggle for the knife, when he was stabbed in the right hand.
The suspect was able to get away with $60 to $70 in cash.
The driver drove himself to Jefferson Hospital and has since been released after receiving four stitches.
The suspect has been described as a white male between 25-30 years old, standing roughly six feet tall.
