Police searching for man accused of trying to abduct girl from outside New Jersey home
MAURICE RIVER, N.J. - Authorities in New Jersey are searching for a man who they say tried to abduct a girl from outside her home on Sunday morning.
Investigators say the attempted abduction happened around 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of State Highway 47 and Main Street in Maurice River.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall white man between 30-40-years-old with stubbly facial hair and a "two-inch jagged scar on his left jawline."
At the time of the attempted abduction, investigators say he was wearing a black beanie, an oversize black hoodie, black sweatpants, and black shoes.
New Jersey State Police shared a composite sketch of the suspect on Wednesday.
