BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (WTXF) - Police in Bucks County have arrested and charged a woman with attempted murder after they say she fired a gun at an extended family member.
The shooting occurred on Wednesday afternoon around 5 p.m. on the 11000 block of Swamp Road in Newtown Township.
Investigators say 31-year-old Elizabeth Hegadorn showed up at the home of a relative, went inside, and intentionally fired two rounds from a handgun in the direction of the victim.
Hegadorn fled the scene before police arrived and the victim was not injured.
Police say Hegadorn resides in Upper Southampton Township, and authorities notified Southampton Township Police to be on the lookout for Hegadorn.
Police located Hegadorn driving her car near her home, and she was taken into custody without incident. She was arraigned on attempted murder and related charges.
Bail was set at 10% of $1 million.
