Propane tank overturned in New Hope

A driver is injured and a road in New Hope had to be closed after police say a propane tanker truck overturned Monday afternoon.

A road in Bucks County will be closed for a couple of hours after a propane tank overturned Monday.

New Hope police say just before 3 p.m. a propane tank fell on its side on Stoney Hill Road.

They say the truck has 32 gallons of propane in it.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle has minor injuries.

A resident near the accident had to be evacuated from the area.

The road will be closed for about two hours.

Police say the tanker is not leaking, and multiple authorities are at the scene, including hazmat crews.

New Hope police say the tanker truck will be emptied out into a separate tanker that is also on scene.
