Protective layer on Willis Tower Skydeck cracks, puts a scare into visitors

CHICAGO - It was a stressful sight for some visitors at the Willis Tower Skydeck on Tuesday when the ledge's protective top splintered into thousands of pieces.
A similar incident happened back in 2014.
While scary, the protective layer is what covers the actual glass bottom.
No one was injured.
