Who is RFK Jr’s wife?

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s wife is Cheryl Hines, 59, an actress best known for her role in HBO’s "Curb Your Enthusiasm," playing Larry David’s wife, Cheryl David.

She has acted in other shows and has various producing and directing credits as well, according to her IMDB page.

She recently launched a luxury beauty line, Hines+Young, alongside her daughter, which prioritizes eliminating the single-use of plastics, according to the company’s websites

Hines was previously married to Paul Young, and the two had one daughter together, Catherine, who was born in 2004.

Hines and Kennedy have been married since 2014, though the fate of their marriage has been subject to rumors in recent months.

In November, a source told People magazine Hines was contemplating divorcing Kennedy when reports emerged that he had allegedly been involved in an affair with a political journalist. Kennedy has denied the claims.

Cheryl Hines and RFK Jr’s politics

Timeline:

Hines has rarely spoken out about her husband's politics, but has been along for the ride the last few months as Kennedy has become a key member of Trump’s inner circle.

In August 2024, her husband endorsed Trump after suspending his own presidential campaign and became one of the president-elect's most prominent surrogates.

On Nov. 14, Trump announced on X, formerly Twitter, that he had tapped Kennedy to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

That night, Hines returned to Mar-a-Lago for the America First Policy Institute gala to celebrate her husband's nomination with other Trump allies and supporters.

Last week, she attended the MAHA Inaugural Ball, which celebrates the beginning of Trump's second term and Kennedy's "Make America Healthy Again" movement.

What they're saying:

Hines has previously spoken about the challenges of transitioning from Hollywood to politics.

"They’re savages," she said of the political world, while saying people in Hollywood were "fun and funny."

She made the remarks as she walked the red carpet alongside her husband for the final season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" in January 2024.

She also posted publicly later that year when Kennedy suspended his presidential campaign.

"Over the last year and a half, I have met some extraordinary people from all parties — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. It's been my experience that the vast majority of all parties are truly good people who want the best for our country and for each other. It has been an eye-opening, transformative, and endearing journey," she wrote on X.
