New Jersey nuclear generating stations test sirens

Residents near the Salem and Hope Creek nuclear generating station were notified Monday of a full siren test.

PHILADELPHIA - Residents in New Jersey and Delaware heard a full siren test on Tuesday night from a nuclear generating station.

The alarm sounded from the Salem Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations just before 7:30 p.m.

Officials say the tests happen on the first Tuesday of each calendar quarter.

The next test is schedule for October.
