PHILADELPHIA (WTXF/AP) - Friends and family of Akyra Murray will gather at West Catholic Preparatory High School to remember the youngest victim of the Orlando shooting.
The 18-year-old was a star point guard at on the school's basketball team and had signed a letter of intent to play at Mercyhurst University on a full scholarship.
Murray was in Orlando on a family vacation. Her mother said she was fatally shot in the arm at Pulse nightclub early Sunday morning. She also said her daughter called before she died, pleading for help while trapped in a bathroom with the gunman.
The vigil is being held at 6pm Wednesday. It is open only to family, students, parents, teachers and West Catholic alumni.
Also, we're told the family needs help with Akyra's final expenses and several people have set up fake GoFundMe accounts.

The Ben Franklin Bridge will remember the victims of the Orlando nightclub terror attack.
The Delaware River Port Authority says the suspension bridge which links Camden with Philadelphia will be illuminated in rainbow colors from Wednesday night through Saturday.
The agency says the bridge is joining other bridges and buildings around the world to honor the victims.
The attack early Sunday ended with the deaths of the gunman and 49 others and 53 people wounded.
